Camera brand, resolution, cable length (longer runs on independent houses cost more than a compact flat), number of channels on the recorder, and whether you want remote app access all move the price. Two quotes for '4 cameras' can differ by thousands depending on what's actually inside them.
Is IP camera really worth the extra cost over analog?
For offices, apartments, and anywhere you want to check footage from your phone, yes — the resolution and remote-access difference is worth it. For a single-entrance shop on a tight budget, a good analog system still does the job.
Does your quote include the hard disk for recording?
Yes, our quotes include the storage drive sized to your number of cameras and how many days of footage you want retained — that's one of the biggest hidden costs people miss when comparing prices elsewhere.
Do you charge for the site visit or quotation?
No, the site visit and quotation are free. We only charge once you approve the quote and installation goes ahead.
What's not included in a typical installation quote?
Ongoing AMC, and anything outside standard cabling — for example, running cable through solid concrete over long distances can add labour cost, which we'll flag during the site visit, not after the job's done.
